Beautiful Taxidermy Canada Lynx, Restored, New Base & Habitat
This incredibly beautiful taxidermy lynx came to us in a rather sorry state, with no base - just zap-strapped to some antlers! Obviously we had to do better than that, so we repurposed a mahogany base with brand new plexiglas cover which just happened to fit him perfectly! Carefully cleaned, then meticulously restored: nose repainted, missing fur patches replaced, eyelids/lips repainted, out of place fur steamed and repositioned, etc. Finally, we built a custom snow scene habitat around the lynx, which is detailed down to the moss, seed pods, and twigs scattered around. This is a stunning piece, and an unusual sitting pose (most lynx are posed walking or pouncing). Gorgeous colouring and the softest fur imaginable. With cover, 26.75"H x 13.75"D x 25"W, $1995
