Reupholstered 1950s Steel Chair, by British Columbia Design Icons
This wonderful steel rod chair was designed by BC design pioneers, Robin Bush and Earle Morrison, circa early 1950s. Its simple yet striking design speaks to the aesthetic of its creators, which commonly featured straight modernist lines and steel combined with wood. We've repainted the original gold on the steel frame, as well as the black lacquer on the armrests; and finally, added new foam and fabulous leopard print fabric to the seat and back. This is an amazing piece of Canadian, and more specifically, British Columbian design history, and would make an excellent addition to any mid century modern collection. $395
