Amazing 1940s Art Deco Dental/Medical Drawers Cabinet
This extremely rare medical cabinet dates to the 1940s, and features fabulous art deco style with unique bakelite drawers pulls. Sturdy plastic handles on the sides are perfect for moving around this cabinet on its smooth rolling hidden wheels. The chrome trim and white arborite top are nods to the machine age look of the era, and the finished back means it looks great from all angles. Our initial plan was to repaint this piece, as the original enamel was stained and worn; however, once we started sanding, we discovered a beautiful maple wood veneer underneath. So, we clear coated it to show off all that gorgeous grain! Each drawer has a different arrangement of storage options, some with an open tray, others with dividers. The bakelite pulls, chrome edging, and top have all been freshly cleaned and polished.
