Beautiful 1960s Ceramic Lamp by Herta Gertz, w/ Northern Lights Design
This stunning mid century pottery lamp was created by B.C. artist Herta Gerta, circa 1960s. Beautifully glazed in matte black with geometric shapes in a variety of glossy colours, representing the aurora borealis in abstract form. The the interior is a bright turquoise, which creates a fabulous contrast to the black exterior. With brass accents, black wood stem and base, and vintage fibreglass shade, this is a fantastic piece and a wonderful example of Canadian design. 25.5"H, shade is 12" in diameter, base is 10"W, $395
