SALE! Beautiful Set of 4 Danish Teak Chairs, Sculptural Design, New Upholstery
This gorgeous set of Danish dining chairs were made in the 1950s, and feature a design of exceptional beauty: note the fabulous sculptural lines, rounded back, and tapered side stretchers. These chairs have had a lot of use in their 70+ years of life, and it shows - there are plenty of character marks, which we have refined from "rough" to "charming". Two chairs also have old repairs: a leg replacement on one, and the middle back section on another (and this is why only 3 of the 4 have the joinery detail in the centre back). While these repairs are well-done, we do have to price them accordingly and thus have priced this set as if it were two of these stunning chairs, instead of 4. Finally, we've had the seats reupholstered with new webbing, foam, and a nubby grey/cream woven fabric. This is totally unique set of chairs and a wonderful example of Danish modern design.
