Rare and Iconic Lamp by Yasha Heifetz, the "ROTOFLEX"
An iconic piece of mid century lighting, this Rotoflex lamp by American designer Yasha Heifetz is both stylish and revolutionary in it's design. Heifetz created the Rotoflex series of lamps by layering many small tubes of plastic, thus building the distinctive ribbed look of the shade. Heifetz was one of the first to use plastic in such an innovative way, and today his lamps are highly collectible. This floor lamp is in excellent condition, with very little wear to the walnut base or shade supports; the shade has small dents where the rubber stoppers hold it in place, but these are mostly hidden by the stoppers themselves. Otherwise, the rest of the piece is in near mint condition. A rare find and a classic piece of mid century modern design. 60"H, base is 11.5" in diameter, $795
