Unusual Dome Full of Taxidermy Butterflies, Moths, and Dragonflies
This amazing 1970s work of art was likely created by a hobbyist, and features a curvy piece of wood adorned with moss at the base, and an array of butterflies, moths, and dragonflies throughout. The dome and base come from a repurposed clock, which the artist finished nicely with a piece of golden velvet ribbon around the bottom of the glass. While we are not butterfly or insect experts, we can at least identify a yellow monarch butterfly and sara orange tip butterfly - there are more than 20 specimens total contained within this one dome. 12.5"H x 8" in diameter, $195
