Gorgeous and ultra rare set of solid maple dining chairs by American designer, Dan Johnson for Hayden Hall. We believe this set is early production, circa late 1940s, as they are made of solid maple; due to the war effort, furniture production was limited to certain woods, and furniture makers made use of what was available - in this case, maple. This fabulous set of chairs have been completely re-glued and repaired, then reupholstered in a salt-and-pepper woven textured fabric. These chairs are both super comfy and a fine example of mid century modern design at its best. Perfect for pairing with a teak table, tulip table, or even go eclectic and and park them under a dark antique oak table - they're as versatile as they are stylish!
