17th Century Antique English Oak Trunk with Beautiful Patina
Rare to find in western Canada, this antique oak trunk was made in England circa 1650 (yes, 17th century!) Retaining its original iron lock, stile feet, and guilloche carvings, this beautiful piece has a rich, aged patina from hundreds of years of use. During its long life, it's had numerous repairs and updates, including reinforcement of the right front leg, a new bottom, metal bars for stabilization, new hinges, etc. The majority of these are structural and do not affect the old beauty of this piece.
