Rare Matching Mid Century Teak & Oak Dining Set, w/ 6 Chairs

This gorgeous 1950s Danish modern dining set is a gem! The surfboard shaped table features a teak top with two leaves and oak legs, while the chairs have a teak back and oak frame. The table top has been refinished, and the chairs re-glued and restored as well as receiving new upholstery. The table has two pull out leaves, which are tapered to continue the elegant surfboard shape, and allow seating for 6-8 people. The round legs are tapered as well, with a square carved arch detail where they meet the skirt. The chairs have similar features, with tapered front legs and a "floating" seat on sculptural stretchers. This is an incredibly well-built set with all hardwood construction and craftsman joinery, and smooth extending leaves that neatly tuck away under the table top. It's so rare to find a matching mid century Danish dining set, and this one is a beauty! Table is 52"L x 33.25"W x 29.25"H, leaves add 19.5" each for a total possible length of 91", $3695 / set
