Totally Unique Pair of 1960s Bentwood & Chrome Swivel Chairs, New Upholstery

  • $595.00

This unusual pair of chairs were made in Canada by Frank Doerner circa 1960s, and feature a curved maple wood ply back and new turquoise velvety upholstery on the seats. The backs were originally upholstered, but after revealing the beautiful wood underneath, we decided to show them off for a more contemporary, slightly industrial look. The Frank Doerner company was known for their "Faultless" swivel and tilt bases being extremely strong and well made. Indeed, these chrome bases have proven their might - one of the pair has seen some rugged use, yet maintains perfect function. The seats have extra thick foam and are tilted, making these more like lounge chairs in terms of comfort. Perfect for a compact living room, as casual dining chairs, or in a chic home office. $595 / pair
