Exceptional & Rare "Party" Decanter Set by Bengt Orup for Johansfors Glasbruk
What an exciting find we have here! This rare decanter with four glasses was designed by Swedish legend Bengt Orup for Johansfors Glass, and called the "Party" line. With an applied horizontal stripe pattern throughout, this simple yet effective design is quite striking indeed! Created in 1956 this set, like Orup's other works, are so iconic that they are featured in the Swedish National Museum of Art and Design. All pieces here appear to be unused, and include the decanter with stopper in white, one glass each in yellow, orange, mint green, and pastel purple. One minor manufacturing defect is noted in a white stripe of the decanter (see photo). Stopper and decanter bear manufacturers' engraved mark.
