Incredible 1950s Chrome & Formica Cabinet, Fabulous Colour & Chrome Accents
Wow! This is a rare find indeed! Absolutely fabulous early 1950s enamelled wood cabinet, with formica top and doors, and chrome detailing. This incredible quality built piece was made by Knechtel of Hanover, Ontario, and features two drawers and two cabinet spaces with sliding doors. The glass door section is ideal for displaying your favourite treasures, whether that be dishware, pottery, glass, or spirits (this piece would make an awesome bar!) The upper drawer has a felted section with dividers, perfect for storing barware accoutrements or other bits and pieces. Extensively scrubbed and cleaned, all chrome parts polished, and in excellent vintage condition with some chippiness to the paint, which we find rather charming. The formica top and doors are absolutely mint, and the seafoam green/turquoise colour makes this piece an absolute standout.
