SALE! Authentic First Generation Eames Fibreglass SAX Chair in Excellent Condition
A super rare find, this is a first generation fibreglass arm chair by the iconic American duo, Charles and Ray Eames, made by Zenith Plastics for Herman Miller. This is the SAX (standard height) model in the colour Parchment, and features the original x-base with extra large shocks, as well as the original "domes of silence" feet. The original label is still partially intact, and even the model name can still be read, hand written just above the label. The entire chair is in excellent condition, having been cleaned and the legs polished to remove rust, leaving the aged patina intact. The "rope edge" underneath the shell is also present, making this an excellent and rare example of an early mid century classic. WAS $1995, NOW $1695
