Absolutely epic teak sideboard and hutch combo, made in Denmark circa 1960s. This beautiful pairing has a number of unique features, starting with the sides – the lower sideboard section is angled outwards, while the upper hutch section is angled inwards; this distinctly atomic architecture is not something we’ve seen before! The tambour doors and drawers all have beautifully sculpted extra long pulls, and slide open like butter. The top drawer offers another, never before seen feature: a felted tray slides back, revealing a felted drawer below. Above, the hutch is supported by hourglass shape supports, meticulously designed with a rounded front, yet another detail we haven’t seen before. The upper section is divided into two sides, each with adjustable shelves, and each with two sliding doors. And that brings us to the final never before seen detail: the glass doors are cut at an angle at the bottom, so as to accommodate the flared edging and centre suport. This incredibly unusual piece is stunning and functional at the same time, and amazingly it is all in excellent to near mint condition. This is an extremely rare find both in design and quality, and would make a fantastic addition to any home. 75"L x 18"D (bottom section, top section is 15"D) x 64.5"H overall (bottom section is 30.5"H), WAS $4695, NOW $2995
