Rare Antique Oak Industrial Rotating Bar Cabinet
This very unusual and rare solid oak bar cabinet was made by The Shannon Office Furniture Company of England, circa 1900. A time when the concept of offices was on the rise, The Shannon made everything from filing cabinets to desks, and yes - a portable office bar as well. Beautifully built with exposed joinery detail, this cabinet maintains its original brass lock (the key has been lost to time) and porcelain caster wheels. Simply rotate the central compartment and voila! You have a bar complete with original mirrored backing, reflecting the decanters and glasses (these are sourced replacements as no bar ware was present when we acquired this cabinet). The lower shelf is ideal for larger bottle of spirits and various accoutrements. In excellent condition, with a lovely rich time worn patina, we've cleaned, oiled and gently restored this piece while maintaining all of its depth and character.
