Unusual Danish Teak Dining Table, w/ Hidden Leaves & Floating Top
This gorgeous teak dining table was made by Lyby Mobler of Denmark, circa 1960s. The very unique design features a top that has edging only on the long sides, so it fits over the leaves and hides them completely. The short sides of the top are open, while the leaves have the edges this time, in order to create the illusion of a seamless edge all around - how clever! We've refinished the top and restored the leaves so that they are a perfect tonal match, as well as oiled the legs and skirt.
